We are Rebel RIBs South Coast dealer and their electric partner. We offer a carefully selected range of boats and motors, backed by expert, independent advice to ensure you choose the right setup for your needs.

The Team

James and Ed

eSolent is a father and son team with over 60 years of boating experience. Both Ed and James are commercially endorsed RYA Yachtmasters, and James is an RYA Cruising Instructor. Both have extensive experience sailing in both the UK and beyond.

Our team combines deep industry knowledge with practical, hands-on experience across yacht design, build management, and advanced electric propulsion. We are leaders in electric yacht conversions, delivering fully engineered solutions for vessels from 24 to 60 feet. From concept to commissioning, we design, manage, and execute complete conversion projects that reflect each client’s performance, sustainability, and lifestyle goals.

Common Questions

  • We have premisses in Northney Marina at the top of Chichester Harbour. But you can also find us at lots of boat shows and we often on the water doing demos.

  • Give us a call! We love to talk everything boating and would love to give you our advice and guidance.

  • The motor costs are usually fairly equivalent. The extra cost comes from the batteries.

    However once the batteries are in the running cost are hugely reduced, charging off mains electricity and little to no upkeep cost.

    There is also the option to install batteries in multiple phases.

  • Our eProplusion X series goes from 12-40kW equivalent to 50hp. If you want bigger then we stock Tohatsu petrol engines which will satisfy any petrol head!

  • Silent.

    Clean.

    No servicing.

    No oil.

  • There are many factors which you need to consider when choosing an outboard including: weight, size, range, size of boat.

    We have loads of experience helping people find the right outboard for them.

  • We test every motor personally before we put it in front of our customers.

    We make sure we are 100% confident in the products we sell, giving you the confidence you need when purchasing one of our products.

  • We are at the forefront of electric boating. Offering the best products to our customers.

    However, there are some uses where electric motors cannot compete with petrol on price and speed.

  • Tohatsu engines are at the forefront of petrol engines. Offering the most efficient and cleanest motors on the market at a price that is affordable to all.
